In July 2016, Convene attended Civil Service Live in London.
Civil Service Live is the government’s annual, cross-department learning event, attracting thousands of civil servants to regional events to learn, network and share best practice - with the ultimate goal of providing better public service.
Members of the Convene team were confident that our product fitted in CSL’s main themes, looking at how they affect the civil service and demonstrating best practice examples of work across each area.
This theme looked at best practices in public service delivery.
Digital meeting practices help streamline work. Instead of carrying around a stack of papers to each meeting, you can use Convene’s cloud storage and have all the documents you need at your fingertips.
Best practices included data retention and accountability. By leveraging Convene, your meeting organiser can send out a summary of the meeting as well as assigned tasks as soon as the meeting ends. Convene also allows you to set your own data and document and data retention timelines, helping you achieve compliance and transparency goals.
A great place to work
To achieve all of this, the civil service needs to be a great place to work. This means that it will be inclusive, flexible, modern and connected, sitting at the heart of a wider public service. Reflecting our need to encourage openness, challenge, innovation and excellence,
We live in a post-digital world, so our all-in-one digital meeting solution is at the heart of being connected.
Convene offers great flexibility to your meetings while keeping important documents secure. Working on the go doesn’t have to be a compromise. A mobile working policy can actually help streamline some inefficiencies or help avoid postponing meetings due to external circumstances.
We truly enjoyed talking to so many attendees who are passionate about the work they do and are looking forward to next year’s CSL.
